Unhappy Blower / Regulator S320

Anybody good at troubleshotting heater blowers and or regulators? Right out of left field the blower quit and the two little red/blue lights at the center vents went also. Fan runs with 12v jumped to it and runs with power jumped from the regulator but only hi and lo. Control panel lights up and can hear clicks and valves but no fan. Does that system work only with the engine running or can it be tested with just the ign. on acc. position? ( like most others). Thanks for a great forum, Doug 95 S320 (ultimate car)

THE BLOWER REG. IS A COMMON PART TO ADIOS ITSELF ON 140'S.
LEAVE THE KEY AND SYSTEM ON, DISCONNECT THE BLUE GND LEAD AT THE MOTOR FROM THE REG. CONNECT A JUMPER WIRE TO THE MOTOR TERMINAL AND GROUND THE MOTOR DIRECTLY TO CHASSIS. IF BLOWER RUNS FULL SPEED, REPLACE
THE REGULATOR. THESE THINGS REGULATE THE GROUND TO THE MOTOR AND ARE CURRENTLY ON THEIR 5TH RE-DESIGN.
MAKE SURE YOU CHECK ALL OF YOUR FUSES FOR THE AAC SYSTEM
SINCE YOUR CENTER VENT IS ACTING UP.
BEST OF LUCK.
