heater blower operation, 300 TDT 1985

The blower motor seems to operate intermittently. Have checked fuses and found all to be good. The blower motor runs well when it runs. Cold engine switch does not seem to be faulty. Am considering the possibility of dirty contacts in the control panel. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Have never experienced this problem in the past.
