I have a W123 200 (auto) and occasionally when engaging the gear from "P" position to any other...the gear stick is difficult to move and when it does..there is a horrid, metal-grinding sound!
The brake-pedal has of course been fully depressed when performing the gear-change.
THere are no other observable problems with the transmission.

Any idea why this occurs? issit serious?
solutions?
