Steering Wheel

Can anyone let me know what I can do with my steering wheel's problem of "peeling." Where I normally grip my steering wheel, it looks like its peeling. Can I get a nice leather cover to wrap over the wheel or can I order one from MBZ? I don't like the wood one too much on the w140 600 but if I can find a used one, I would probably get it. Though I don't know how to put the airbag in if it was without one... Thanks everyone!

covering

Hi,

I just installed a leather covering for my '87 260E which had the stock vinyl cover. Now it looks real sweet with the leather. I bought it from wheelskins.com approx. $38 w/ shipping. The size was BX which I think may be standard for MBZ, but double check.

Have fun,

You might want to think about refinishing your leather. Mine did what yours is doing. I got some leather dye from leatherique.com and prepped the leather as directed. Looks good! Not too hard.
