Sway Bar Bushing
I checked the Sway Bar Bushing on both front sides and they look squeezed quite a bit (E300TD -'99 with 82k on it). I am planning to replace them next week. While doing this should I replace any other bushings (like lower control arm or sway bar link or other) or it is getting complicated (I never removed a front or rear spring).
Any suggestion + any advice will be appreciated. PAT

I saw the part number as being 210-323-1485 but I couldn't find it on the FastLane or BenzBin. Should I get it from dealer only?

I replaced my sway bar bushings at 75,000 miles because I was getting a "thumping" noise when hitting chuckholes. What symptoms are you having that makes you think you need to replace suspension parts?
I don't know about the 210 chassis but sway bar bushings do wear out between 75-100 k miles on the 124 chassis and are fairly straightforward to replace (at least the fronts). Unless the 210 chassis is much different than the 124, I personally would doubt you'll need to do much else, but I am not a suspension expert. Got my bushings from Fastlane and they were MB OE, complete with the star, so use Fastlane without reservation...

I am getting the thumping noise as well. Appears that comes from front as well as the back. Are the rear bushing easy to replace as well?

If it is the rear sway bar bushings...
yes, they are easy to replace.

bushings are very inexpensive, get them from your dealer or check with phil here at fastlane.

Thumping Noise
This thumping noise you guys were describing, do you normally hear it at higher speeds (45mph+)? If its the bushing, do you only replace the side that is making a noise or do you replace both sides, or all 4?
Also, I noticed that the thumping sound is not as loud when the road is wet. Does that tell you anything? When you say its inexpensive to fix, what do you really mean by it? Is it an hour to 2 hours work plus parts? This is so I know what to expect in labor cost. Let me know. JC

My front sway bar bushings were $8 each from the Stealership.
