Spring compatibility W123 W124
I have a W123, 1983 300TD-T which has two (2) nub rubber spring pads so changing spring pads will not lower the car much if at all. I see a lot of W124 springs for sale and wonder if there is any compatibility between the springs in the W123 and W124. I would like to lower the front of my wagon by 1 - 1.5 inches and leave the rear alone as it is perfect.
Perhaps the answer is to cut one coil out of my springs and reinstall with 1 nub spring pads. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

The W123 car has MUCH larger springs than the W124 chassis, SO the springs won't interchange.
Cutting the springs by 1 complete ring will lower the car & also increase the spring rate.
