Oil Change Infrequently Driven SLK

Last fall I change the synthetic oil in my '01 SLK320. Since then, the car's been driven only about 300 miles. Should I again chance the Mobil 1 synthetic oil in the spring to prepare it for a new driving season? Or, wait till fall again which will include roughly another 2000 miles of driving? I think FSS will alert me to an oil change after 1 year, regardless of miles.

Will the synthetic oil in the pan begin to breakdown over 5 months without much use?

Thanks.
