Where is the convenience module on a W140
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to find out what does this module do,where is it located in the car and how much is it to replace? I have recently lost control of the rear windows from the rear seats. I can still control them from the front seat. In addition I have lost control of the recline feature for the rear seat and the rear dome lights do not come on. I am not sure if it is related but my keyless entry stopped working and I can not get the lock buttons to electronically activate/deactivate on any of the doors. I thought that these all seem to be convenience features and that the module could be at fault. I also lose the one touch open/close feature on the windows. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Thank You Fred Berry 92 500SEL |

Fred, that module only controls the windows. It is in the trunk on the right side just in front of the rear fuse box.
Each seat has it's own control unit.

Check my page. . .
(click "www house" below) under Menu #13 for some drawings showing the location of the CF module.
Check out the ATA module (Menu #12) for door lock, etc. |
