Question 420 SEC Control module question

I think i might have sourced an ignition control module for my 87 420 SEC . the fried module is 007 545 2232 and the replacement part is 003 545 9132 (apperantly from an 88 420 SEC. Can i substitute the two? My local MB tech always substitutes like with like so I dont get much joy out of them on this question.

the problem is I have to get the replacement part from Australia and need to be fairly sure before i spend the dough.

The 007-545-2232 is a non US part type. If you are in need of the ignition mod (EZL) than the 003-545-9132 should work just fine for you.

I have put US spec EZL's in Euro car w/ no problem.
