Metal on metal vibration noise...plese help!

Hey everybody! My car has developed a symptom as of late. When I am going slow (less than 5 mph) or decelerating (from 10mph down), there is this aweful metal on metal vibration noise coming from somewhere in the front right of the car. I think its from the wheel, but I am not certain. The sound seems to correspond with applying brake pressure, so it would seem logical that the sound is coming from somewhere in the wheel area. Any ideas as to what it might be? Thanks!

That would be my guess too...is your brake pad indicator system functional?

Don't overlook the motor mount(s) they can make HORRIBLE vibrations. When you press on the brake it could be adding just enough down force to finish bottoming it out.

Good luck,

Thanks everyone! I don't think the brake pads are to blame as they are less than 5 months old with new rotors. Anybody know how I could check if it is the motor mount that has gone south? I would isolate the sound myself, but it only comes when the car is rolling slow, so its rather difficult to isolate.
