Diagnostic Trouble Code

Could I get some information on a code P1700 for a '96 Mercedes E320? Thank you to anyone who responds.

You could do a search for OBD or Codes for more info, here are a couple useful links:
long MB PDF OBD2 codes list go to pg 134 and use the codes that begin with P (my favorite is P0400 Exhaust gas recirculation flow malfunction, I get it a lot)

I did search the forum but found no specific for my 96' e class.I know it has the same engine.for example where can i find my switch over valve on w210.

..look for green plastic line coming up from tranny. That goes to out port of SOV ................Here is the part that usually fails.
