190E r. suspension link orientation question

Below is a picture of the old worn-out link and the new replacement. The new link has one end that is not similiar to the other end, and not like either end of the old link. It has a larger flange end than the original one.

-Does this end which is in the upper right of the picture mount to the hub?

Thank you in advance,

Haasman

OK,

That link is the one that goes about 45degrees to the direction of travel. It is the one that makes the rear end steer under load. That's the one!

Like the camber link, its original design was basically the same through the 210 and 202 chassis. The latest model is the one sold for all uses. It was improved by adding to the bushing at the weak end. In order to make the bushing bigger the steel insert was reduced. I think the original bolt is 12mm and the new hole is 10mm. Proper parts designation would have indicated two additional parts needed. Their numbers are in these archives a few times. They are a 10mm bolt and a sleeve that gets inserted into the original 12mm hole in the bearing carrier. The sleeve makes the hole into 10mm and accepts the new bolt which passes through the new arm.

Thanks for the reply. Looking closely at the new link in the photo above, on the right-hand end, it has flanges that make it larger than the original link below in the picture.

My question is: which end is attached to the wheel hub/carrier and which attaches to the body? One end is larger than the other.

Hopefully this clarifies what I am asking.

The one with the smaller hole. The end that attaches to the body is the same.
