cool not cold AC

Hi All,

I used my ac yesterday and it was cool not cold. I had it recharged in the fall (was in the shop for allignment and figured I would get it taken care of then).

Would a leak cause the ac to be cool but not cold. It's cooling air below ambient temp. but not much.

Any thoughts?

I have R12 in the car.

Thanks,
Joel

A leak will lead to lower than spec refrigerant levels which does cause less "cooling". You need to try to find your leak and fix it too. Try to keep it on r12.

Thanks

Thanks for the note engatwork.

When I had it filled last fall die was put in.

I am thinking that should help point to the leak. I'll take it back to where it was serviced in the fall.

Thanks,
Joel
