Is it bad to stack spring pads? my car is too low after lowering it and the biggest spring pads won't raise it enough.

Is it bad to stack the pads? what will the ride be like?

If you stack the spring pads with rubber pads the ride may be too soft and flimsy. You can try to shim the spring using the thickest spring pad and fabricate a metal shim to bring up the ride hieght. You next choice is getting OEM springs.

The "body flange"(perch) that retains the spring can only hold the thickest spring pad & spring w/o allowing the spring to pop out.

My 1994 C180 Euro had a "lowered" driver's side possibly due to a very heavy previous owner. My tech's choice was to fix this problem by removing the old pads on this side and put in the thickest available to level out the front. He did this and the front now looks normal when the car is empty, raised the driver's side my 23mm. The road feel is normal, no side effects, feels even better than before, didn't affect the alignment at all. The old pads had been deeply scored by the springs and this was why the side lost so much height.

Hocky1, I intentionally lowered my car but the springs sit too low and I already have higher pads in them.
