Everyone has their own opinion on lubs,I will say that IXL is the best product on the market, was introduced by a buddy that does long haul trucking, it's non corosive and will boost mileage and offer less friction ware, his trucks transmissions were running about 250 -275 degrees depending on terrain after the IXL the trucks ran at 200-215 Max. Wears about friction the less friction the better the longevity. A lot of the products selling today are watered down to sell cheaper. I have run this oil 50-50 and have never been happier. I think I'll listen to the long haul truckers they might understand the product more than most people. Great product they just don't spend a million on marketing.

After going thru all the learning system urls one finally came up for IXL lubrication.

I found IXL Metal Conditioner IXL Quart $36.75.

Mfg'ed in Az with the business in Wa it appears. Kinda strange right there.

At that price marketing is sure needed.

I thought it was high also, I was using lucas, which was a 3 parts to 10 gallon ratio as a gas additive, IXL was 1 to 10 gallons so it broke out to the same money. all I know is I have 225,000 on my E320 with the oil and gas add's and it is still a strong motor. For me proof is in the pudding.

CAMGUARD OIL ADDITIVE - PINT from Aircraft Spruce

I'm trying/evaluating this in two engines, one heavy on fuel ( Ford Triton. ) the other brand new.( Dodge 360.) I'm sceptical of any oil additives and companies also selling Mouse Milk !

You guys need to realize if the additive was realistic, major manufacturers would have already have it under their wing.

Instead of spending money on additives, change the oil a little more frequent.

Oil additive discussions get as heated as the "what's the best oil" discussions. As ps2cho said, if it were that easy to improve the efficiency of oil, the car companies would have put it in their engines from the get-go. It's like these "cold air induction" systems people spend money on. If it was as simple as replaceing a flat airfilter with an exposed cone filter, to get better airflow and power, would they not have done that from the get-go. In these days of car companies looking for any power/fuel economy advantage over the competition, if simply putting a bottle of an oil additive or a coned airfilter did the trick, they would have done it.

My father put 485,000 miles on an '85 300TD and never used oil additives. Change your oil as prescribed in the owner's manual and you will be fine.

I don't keep up with oil additives.
I'm sure STP and Wynn's were the miracle oil additives when I used to browse auto parts shops, many years ago.

All it proves to me is that the additive did no harm.
