calling Malaysia, eurolamps for w124 cheaper there?

few yrs ago,got aftermarket new alloy HRD(made in Malaysian) wheels for about US$300 and change.Labour is real cheap there.A Indo" maid's salary is 100us$per month.

Any Malaysian members outthere.Do es your eurolamps fit North American cars?

Depo is the Asian brand afaik. They are ok, but Bosch are better. But Bosch euro's seem to cost about three times what the Depo's do.

Don't get Euro lamps from Malaysia. They are for right-hand drive cars (left hand traffic) and the beam pattern is NOT correct for US traffic!

Does that mean eurolamps for Germany(driver seated left) are okay BUT eurolamps for Britain(driver seated right) are no good.

From Germany they'll be fine. Remember that if you want to convert a RHD lamp to project a LHD beam pattern, you need to change both the reflector AND the lens.

Malaysia is RHD

Whoops

Of course that's absolutely right. We drive on the 'right' side of the road from you guys. As speedy300Dturbo, you're better off sourcing from LHD countries e.g. Europe.

Although labour is cheap, parts like that are still imported, and come complete with the imported price tag. Having said that, 124 Merc parts are still way cheaper than any other German marques and even some Japanese ones.

Cheers,

P.
