On your SLK as well as most newer MB's there isn't a seperate flasher unit. The blinkers are operated thru the "lamp" control module & the sound you hear comes from the instrument cluster.
I would check the bulbs & connections on the right side as that could be the problem. You might swap the bulbs from side to side.
DO all of the lights flash with the hazzard switch?

signal flasher slk230

M.B. checked the bulbs, all ok. they all flash with the hazzard switch whats the method for getting to the lamp cont, module as this thing klicks soundly and at a steady rate on the left, but starts to click for 5 seconds then slows to 1 click every second with no dash indicators, or outside lights working when put in the right turn position..tnx in advance D.J.
