quote: Check to see if the resevoir is depleted when the front goes down by opening the service petcock. Check to see if selecting the "lock" or "jack" position keeps the car up longer. This checks for internal leaks. The height valves both add and subtract air from the bags in normal operation; a bad valve will leak internally back through the master valve exhaust.(except in the lock position). Check air bags and level valves with soap solution sprayed from "windex" type bottle. Check the resevoir check valve if the resevoir is suspected. This is the valve that keeps the air from returning through the compressor. ------------------ Steve Brotherton Owner 24 bay BSC Bosch Master, ASE master L1 26 years MB technician |
