90 300SE New Rotor needed?
Hi, Here is a pic. of the rotor in my 1990 6-cyd 103 engine. I think it has about 60-80K on it. Does it need to be replaced?
Thanks, Dan

Yes -- with the pic of the cap, too much wear on the carbon contact, too much carbon dust, and the contact point on the rotor is probably messed up too, so a new cap will get eated up pronto.
Who knows, the reason the cap got in the condition it's in may be an old rotor, not changed the last time! Peter

i would have to agree, that rotor is way past its sell by date, and done its time.
i would replace with a bosch rotor and distributor cap which are the best quality-may be fastlane on this website would have these in stock. good luck. |
