weird heater blower problem.

1984 300SD. when i glow the plugs the fan would blow. but when i crank to start it the fan will stay on for 1 second then cut off. not sure if t has anything to do with the heating system but it is at the heater setting. when the car is moving there is heat, just no fan.

i checked all the fuses and they are good. i would say it was a bad blower motor but it comes on when i glow the plugs. any ideas? thanks

SOUNDS LIKE YOUR IGNITION SWITCH HAS A BAD SPOT. TRY TURNING THE KEY BACK JUST A HAIR AND SEE IF THE BLOWER STARTS BLOWING AGAIN ONCE THE CAR IS STARTED. THIS USUALLY COMES FORM PEOPLE HAVING TOO MANY KEYS ON THEIR KEY RING CAUSING A HAMMER EFFECT ON THE IGNITION SWITCH.
