Question Rattle in rear

I have a '91 300TE Wagon and ever since I bought the car about two years ago I have heard this rattle. I only notice it in the summer when I have the window down. It only happens when I go over a bump and it is only when the drivers side rear wheel hits the bump. It sounds like loose change and can be quite irritating. I have tried to find it off and on with a rubber mallet for two years and have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have any ideas???

A familiar sound. First, I had a funny jingling sound from the center of the 91 300E which turned out to be a loose U clamp on the exhaust system attached to the support bracket off of the transmission.

But now recently.... I have heard the same noise you describe and I don't know where it is coming from either.
