Fuel Distributor Q?
I am told my fuel distributor needs replacing. I've located a reasonably priced complete fuel setup for my 560sl- distributor, lines, intake, EHA etc; Assuming I make the buy, would it be better to switch the unit out as a whole, or just switch distributors? Assume all are in good condition.

I'm probably the last person to ask about fuel distributor problems, but if it were me I'd remove the donor unit as one piece, place it carefully in one of those big red and white Igloo Playmate coolers and helicopter it straight to your garage and transplant the entire unit in one operation. I think the patient would have a better chance of survival!

OK, wanna assist?
Since I live just north of Atlanta, presumably less than a days travel from Gum Swamp, care to assist? Might be a little golf in it too?

Try Stan Keutz at 830-217-4170. He is German, near San Antonio and a certified MB mechanic of 30 years. He told me that he can rebuild fuel dist. valves for about $250.
