72 350sl need 1 question answered

hello folks

can anybody tell me where the terminals 50, 30, 2, 16 are at. i've not opened the fuse/relay box in the pass foot well. but i feel these terminals should be outside in the engine compartment.
tks

What are they for?

If I'm reading the schematic correctly, 50 and 30 are on the ignition switch - I don't see 2 and 16 at the moment.

Do you have a copy of the wiring diagram?

Yes, with a clue of what they were for, I could look at the 107 manuals I have on CD-ROM that cover all the years. Unfortunately, for '72 and '73 the diagrams don't have the cool "Component Locations" list that the later diagrams do. Still, knowing where the same connector is on a '74 might help you. I'd be happy to have a look because I had to post a similar query last week even with the CD-ROM.

doc thanks for your reply. i'm kinda hoping the terminal numbers aren't in the pass dept. the # 50 is a jumper wire that you attach a remote starter to bump the motor. this also the same cluster that you use for tuning the electrics. i think my biggest problem is my 116/117 engine book was printed in 84 and it appears that they do not address the 72 directly because nothing in the book resembles the engine compartment.

marinmbfan, thanks for your offer. i too have all the cd's and the hard bound engine and chassis books. i'm thinking however the cd's will be a beater source because it addresses the year 72. i'll have to go to the cd tonite to see if i can run this down.

there is a item (switch mechanism) that none of the books i have even address. the cd should shed some lite
thanks guys
