Wild 1985 Mercedes-What Is It???????????

I found a 1985 2door Mercedes with all Identification missing and this car was imported by Car Works and does not show the model number, just the date of manufacture and vin number and I did not have a pencil..It kind of looks like a 126 but I am not sure..It has a air bag and a extra large device that is out on the wheel well and is tied to the brake master cylinder by 2-3 runs of steel tubing etc...What is it and will the rear bumper fit a 4 door 126--thanks...Jim
