Sources To Repair This?
The cracks and rips (no matter how minor they may be) are driving me nuts and wanted to know if anyone has had to repair these and if so,a reasonable source. Is it possible for a DIY'er to fix these (especially the crack on the window "sill" or is it gonna cost a mint for this(both are on the passenger's side)? Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan,
Find a good used one at the salvage yard, chances are it will be the least expensive route. You might find that a salvage "B" pilar trim piece is starting to separate from the backer, but that is easily repaired using 3M adhesive and a little patience. Same for the window sill piece, fine a good one at the bone yard.

If you source the parts from a different color interior simply send the ripped piece to the folks at www.colorplus.com or www.leatherique.com and they will sell you the matching dye.
My experience has shown ColorPlus to do a better job at matching colors.

rips to pillar column
hello
i found the easiest and cheapest is to do it yourself. (hello mike i never got back to you). go to a fabric or an upholstery shop and get 1 yard of the material you need. (it's a backed vinyl) lay the pillar down spread or spray in the same pattern as the original. get the 1 side set then repeat on the other side. once the pillar is covered make the appropiate cuts to create the opening (pay close attention to how the original is cut the inside cut is smaller than the aluminum pillar opening so you can wrap around the edges). mine was black so color match was easy so my total cost was like 6 or 7 dollars. you may have to order thru an upholstery dealer which could be a bit more $$. once the pillar is removed it's fairly straight forward (once mike told me how to get the pillar off). good luck craig
