Well, chickened out on repair of b2 band servo, and had gauranteed used trans installed. Question is : it is upshifting very early and has slight slip between 3-4 and slightly more slippage from 2-3. Should I play with bowden cable and modulator valves or is this a waste of time, as unit is covered for 90 days.

Well I assume you threw away a perfectly good tranny for lack of a B2 servo piston. And now you want to throw away a tranny cause it hasn't been adjusted yet.

Come on now, give the iron a break.

Well actually Steve, the tranny, got worse and worse, with a fluid change, and then on the trip down to Seattle bit the dust completely, and lost all forward gears.

Be sure to have a tech that know how to set up a Mercedes tranny to the base setting and go from there. With a few adjustments, this one will hopefully be fine.
