Question Slk 230 1998 Battery Died Put New One On Asr Light Came On

I HAVE A SLK 230 1998 THE BATTERY DIED WHEN I CHANGED IT IT STARTED UP AGAIN BUT THE REVS WHERE GOING UP AND DOWN ... THE ASR LIGHT CAME ON ... WHAT WENT WRONG ? HOW CAN I FIX THIS MY SELF??? IT HESITATES!!!!

You should try leaving your key in pos 2 (lights on but engine not
running) and let it sit for 1 minute. This should relearn the throttle valve stop. As far as the ASR light, try turning the steering wheel lock to lock if your car has ESP.
Otherwise, something went bad while you were swapping batteries. Did you hook it up wrong momentarilary or was the car
jumped? This could be very important.
