1993 190E 2.6 Automatic Trans. Fluid and Filter Renewal

Removing the fluid from the torque converter:
Does the torque converter drain plug come all the way out after the alignment. I see the torque converter drain plug in the cutout area in front of the transmission fluid pan. Is this the only plug to be removed to drain the torque converter (Is there another plug to be removed)? Which direction - when rotating the crankshaft pulley hub bolt?
