Help help on MAS installation
Hi all,
My 98 E320 has recently been diagnosed with a malfunction MAS sensor. To replace it, I found that it'll cost me an arm and a leg. So I decide to do it myself. Though replacing MAS may be simple as ABC, for a first timer, I am a little hestant and scared on how to go about it. I hope someone who had experience replacing their MAS can post some graphical diagram on how to proceed to replacing the MAS sensor. Regarding resetting the computer after MAS replacement issue, can I just disconnect the battery and reconnect it instead of going over the dealer to have the computer reset? All your inputs are welcome and appreciated. Thank you. |

Two screw clamps and one electrical connector. No harder than replacing the airfilter.
The system will readapt if the air mass meter was the problem. The battery will get the light but will deinitialize the windows, roof, steering angle sensor (if equipted with ESP), etc.
