I refilled my hydraulic fluid resevour today and found that there was fluid pissing from my wheel well. further diagnostic showed that this part pictured below(i beleive is a ram) is leaking from the top. how difficult is this to change? im contenplating taking it to a dealer, unless i can do it myself. whattdaya think?

Been there. The cylinder seal gave out. The cylinder is difficult, but not impossible to remove. The part costs approx. $170 from the dealer. It can be rebuilt by Dennid Ficken in Kansas for approx. $40 + shipping. Search for threads using his name.

If you're handy and ambitious, it would be best to have all eight cylinders rebuilt. The other ones will go soon also (again - been there). The one you show is the most difficult to get at.
