Adding seat memory function?
My W124 did not come with the memory seat switch option. Can this function be added by simply changing over to a memory seat switch? In other words, is the memory capacity a function of the switches or the seats?
Many thanks in advance.

Not simple
I would like to add the memory function to at least the driver's seat in our 300TE (since both my wife and I drive it). It already has electric seats without memory. Unfortunately, if you study the wiring diagrams, it becomes evident that it is not just the switches on the doors that differ. The memory seats, in addition to motors, include potentiometers to give positional feedback signals to a box of electronics. Without memory, the electric seats simply have motors. The conversion would be an involved job, if at all possible.

Greg,
Somehow, I just knew it couldn't be that easy. Thanks for your reply. Cheers!
