Driving home last night, on the motorway (freeway) I hit a bale of cardboard chippings that had fallen off the back of a lorry. I was doing about 70mph - the obvious damage is a holed sump and the fibreglass undertray has been ripped off.It is going into mercedes on Saturday - what else do I need to get them to check for?
The bale went right under the car before bursting open, so there is no bodywork damage. The good news is that I caught up with the offending lorry and flagged him down - so he is going to pay !!!

You should have the wheel alignment checked when anything like this happens.
