http://www.qualityvwparts.com/ltlftr.html
i'm talking about the lightweight ones, obviously. bunch of us vw guys are wondering as our aftermarket suppliers won't tell... there's a rumor that they're mercedes, perhaps from the 2.3-16v's? any ideas? thanks guys! james from forums.vwvortex.com http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1081010 |

To my knowledge the early 16 valve engines are Solid Lifters. The later twin cam six's and the twin cam V-8's(1990-1996[6] or1999[8])may provide some answers to your search.
Good Luck

As well the 111, 604/5/6, 611/2/3, 646/8 engines may work.
Who manufacturers the lifters and what is the part number or the micd? A number should identify what engines the lifters possibly fit. |

no one wants to share the number, and on the lightened ones they're either rubbing them off- or they come unmarked. as you can see from the pictures the stock vw ones are made by INA
