W123 230E K-Jetronic change to a ...?!**%£

Hi - I want to know if it is possible to change the mecanichal Bosch K-Jetronic injection system with a new electronically controlled, programable injection?

I think it is really possible, but anyone knows of someone who have done it?

Could I find any improvement in power or fuel consumption?

Am I wasting the time here?
