W140 new front rotors

My front rotors are warped and I want to instal new ones. I can't find anything on a front brake job in the archives. Can anyone give me any tips - I've changed rotors on otjher Euro vehicles - is it common sense or do I need to watch for anything in particular?

All advice gratefully accepted

TIA Andy

Hi Andy,

there should be plenty under rotors. Thomaspin also has a website with pictures about that, if I am not mistaken.

Nothing special

Changed both front rotors on my W140 recently... very easy job if the rotor isn't rusted to the hub.
Just pull the pads/caliper, move it out of the way. Remove the caliper mounting front the knuckle (these are bolted on pretty tight). I found the bolts came out a lot easier if they are heated some... I suspect there's Loctite (or similar) on the threads.
Remove the allen screw and lift off the rotor.

Andy,

The DIY section has an article on doing a brake job on a E Class
