140 Body Electronic Transmission Questions???
I have one of the 140 body cars (96' S420) that is due a transmission fluid/filter R & R. Can anyone tell me EXACTLY how many quarts this transmission holds? Remember there is NO dipstick. I do plan on draining the converter if possible like on my 94' S500. This can be done, right?
Thanks!

If you only service the PAN/filter & not the torque converter, then 3.5-4 liters of fluid are needed. IF the fluid is really bad then you need to drain the converter, service the filter/pan then you add 4 liters then start the car & add 4 more liters while the engine is running. 8 liters total!

So you "can" drain the converter like on the 92-95' 140's? If so, you are telling me to put 7 1/2-8 liters. Will the 1/2 make any difference if not enough or too much???
