ac autoshuts off after some time (s500) 1995
My A/C automatically shuts off ever 40 seconds or after a while. It is getting very frustrating..i have to keep restarting it..sometimes it freezes on so i cant use the a/c control to close it, change it etc.
To stop this freeze that occurs, i have to open the hood and pull out fuse 18 and put it back... anyone know how to fix this problem.. does it have to do with the outside temp? because in the day time it was 80-90s and humid and a/c kept restarting/freezing every now and then but at night time 70s-80s...the a/c didnt do this.. thanks in advance |

There are several parts that could cause this, evap temp sensor, push button panel, MAS (if equipped) and so. When its in a failed state you've got to find what missing.

One other intermittant on the early 4vlv v8s is the wiring to the speed sensor gets stretched by settling motor mounts and a bad speed signal cuts the compressor.
