fuel odor through A/C in a W126

I am getting a strong fuel odor when the A/C is engaged. It is the strongest at start up (first 5 mins.) and if we stopped in traffic. Are there any obvious causes?

Hi fredsegal,

I remember a posting that discussed fuel leaks out of the EHA valve as there is a rubber seal that leaks. The fuel would than have to find it's way to the air intake of the AC. The EHA valve is the black box on the fuel distributor, you have to remove the air filter housing.

Good luck
