Hello, MB--
Do you know the chain master link part number for an '86 300SDL, 6cyl, chassis 126? And a riveting set is also necessary? What about the extra chains and guides and whatnot? Sorry for all the questions. Am completely clueless about timing chains. Rachel |

You will need to use the master link in the new chain, then you have to purchase a tool that guides the chain onto the sprocket without the chain jumping teeth.
Then you need the tool to press the link together and crimp the end. Not to mention the tool that pulls the rail pins out and the one to set the injection pump up when done. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 1992 500E (very soon I hope 1981 280GE SWB ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
