Motor Mount question please help

I need to change my motor mounts on a 1975 230 sedan. All three bolts are only accessible from the top of the mount. The problem is I would have to lift the engine up with a floor jack a few inches for the clearance I would need. It this a problem? Should I only remove one at a time as I do not know if this would allow me to lift the engine as much as I need. Alsoo what size hex socket is use ther is two on each mount and are monuted top to bottom.
All help or suggestions appreciated.
