Angry No "check engine" on SL500

1995 SL 500 - all the electrical and harnesses are in good shape and functioning. Plugs, wires , cap all O.K. Fuel filter and pressure is good. Car starts and idles rough - when pressed will choke up...If the throttle cable is pulled slowly and held the RPM will even out at about 2500 and run smooth - if pulling harder or jerking the throttle cable the car chokes...I don't have a "check engine" light on at startup - checked the bulb - its O.K. I can't get any communication with the computer...Any input?

Check all fuses. Also check the base module in the module box
for blown control fuses. It is just like a over-voltage relay..
The module box is where the 38pin diag plug lives. It is bolted
down with some allen bolts in the pass side corner of the engine compartment.
