I was replacing the lightbulb on the r side a/c vent and I had short? Now, all the dash lights and console lights are out. I checked the fuses in the engine compartment and replaced the rheostat light dimmer with no luck. What should I check next?

The fuse is blown, it just has a hairline crack in it. Replace all of the fuses with new and recheck. The other thing that can fail when shorted is the warning module.

I will change all fuses involved. However, the warning module still works (makes noise with door open, key in the ignition, etc). It has to be a fuse. The question is, which one? I will let you know...It is dark at night!

Update!
I changed all the involved fuses under the hood with no luck. Since every single item works except for the lights mentioned before; I suspect the instrument cluster itself. Any more suggestions? TIA J.H. 86 300E |
