auto trans oil change?

after 125K miles, the tranny went POP...

main shaft gears / splines stripped

G/box re-built.

now, 10K miles later, would you replace the fluid as a precaution? the 90 quid (150 dollars) + labour vs 1500 quid (2K dollars) for a tranny rebuild in another 40K miles.

this is a high mileage (for the UK) car, and the box was re-built in a slightly dirty looking garage..

I'm just thinking that the dirt / bedding in of new box bits would benifit from having this done.

Its the later style w/s (rather than s/e type) box
