So my sister's '99 C280 sounds like it's whining a bit. Always had since she got it back in April or so. Is it normal on the 280's or is something wrong? Under hard accelerations, you can hear it the most.

My 99 C280 Sport whines a bit under hard acceleration. It's not an unpleasant sound, sort of reminds me of my carbeurated 1967 911's Porsche. Most V6's by Mercedes especially the 2.8 litre engine have that sound.
