when i start the car cold, the a/c works fine.
as it warms up the compressor stops cycling .
even if i try tapping the relays nothing will make the compressor come on . i have checked the amount of regrifant and it is ok...maybe slightly overfilled.

any help would be appreciated.

Whoops, did you say overcharged!!! This condition creates excessive pressure and when the system gets hot the pressure goes up even higher, which will activate the high pressure cutout switch to protect the system from overpressure. Get the charge corrected and see if this makes it OK. The fact that it cycles when cold is a dead giveaway for heat related overpressure. Good luck and don't wait until excess pressure does something nasty to the AC system...
