Does anybody happen to know the size of the allen wrench needed to remove the oil drain plug on an 83 500sl?
Thanks for your help. Marc |

It should be a 14mm, which may be difficult to find. You might get lucky at Auto Zone or other discount automotive shops. If not you will probably have to see the Snap-on man.

In a pinch, you can get a 9/16 and with very
little grinding , can make one fairly easy. Arthur |

Call International Auto Parts, 1-800-726-0555. They sell quality 14mm hex wrenches, $4.55 each, as well as 10mm and 12mm. Those are for FIATs and Alfa Romeos.
