The A/C on our aquired 82 240D project car dosen't work (of course), and I'm wondering where to start. Have no intentions of touching pressure systems myself. Vacuum system has suffered at the hands of a moron PO, fan not working, compresser does not engage, don't know if system is charged. Where do I begin?
TIA, Dusty

For starters, I would check for a charge in the system. If you have pressure, more than likely your probs are control/electrical.
If no/low on freon, take it to someone with a/c expertise. Will require equipment you don't have.
