560sl hardtop fit

I've had my hardtop off for 2 years now and last night decided to reinstall. I have a hoist and lowered it in place and then latched all the connections, but it seems that the rear is not down far enough. The rear pin is latching, but its just not going down enough. There is a 3/4" gap at the rear. Do I need to have someone push on the back while I latch the rear hook or is there something else wrong? How tight shoud this top be? The front and middle latches are snug!
