A/C diagnostic
Hi All,
I recently had my AC diagnosed and my indy said it's a leaky evap. Since this is a ton of $$$ to replace, should I get another opinion? If so, does anyone rec a place in the SF Bay area? What am I looking at for diagnosing this in $$$? thanks,

This seems to be a common problem. I had a new one fitted to my '93 S500 - it took the dealer over a week and cost 2,300 bucks.

Diagnosis should not be expensive; replacing is!
If your indi used a dye. Your evaporator IS leaking. If he used something else, get a second opinion from somebody that uses ultraviolet dye for diagnosis. Diagnosis should be less than $100.
