I bought the car recently and don't want to replace the filter if it's recent. Is that printing a manufacturing date? I thought the 02 ment 2002 but I saw some other filters with much different numbers in that position.

it looks like a older filter, IIRC, Bosch switched to ink-jet priniting of the filter details in 1998-1999.
